Spring Kicks.

Yes, yes, yes. We know that you know that we love Creepers. Their versatility, stylish-ness and ability to sneakily boost your height are just a few reasons why we're so obsessed with them. And now, another reason is the fact that they come in a super-cute pastel colour palette.

Uh-huh, you heard right. Underground have brought us their beautiful and comfortable Wulfrun's in shades of Lilac, Pale Blue and Dusty Pink, all complete with a thick, off-white sole. These beauts are just perfect for the Spring/Summer season, don't you think?!

Esty store spotlight: Cakeeater

Now, we're huge fans of all things kitsch, and so upon trawling through the online wonderland
that is Etsy, we were pretty psyched to come across these amazing handmade pins by Cakeeater.

Available in a range of colours and words, from 'creep' to 'doll', 'witch', 'teen dream' and 'alien she' (you can even put in custom requests to have a truly individual pin!) These heart-shaped beauties are lovingly handmade, painted in cute pastel shades and finished with a glittery topcoat.

Cakeeater is the brainchild of Seattle-based designer/illustrator/crafter, Natali Wiseman who makes "things that are cure and/or spooky". She's inspired by her love for candy colours, riot grrrl, fancy desserts, '60s kitsch, movies about teen schoolgirls, glitter and the pastel toys she had as a kid.

Natali's pretty rad, huh? And you know what, her Etsy store is too! Go have a little browse and see what other little gems you find!

Paul Costelloe SS12

The 1962 Hollywood classic 'What Ever Happened To Baby Jane' was the prime inspiration behind the rather astonishing SS12 collection by Paul Costelloe. Bonding together the usual Costelloe style with a hint of vintage Parisian chic was something worth seeing, and was definitely a graceful opening to London Fashion Week. With the collection came celebration of strong, feminine silhouettes that showed great influences from the 1960s. Whipped cream shades complimented beautiful pastel colours which held ladylike qualities, cocooning the body in elegance and class.

Flirtatious babydoll dresses were a key feature, constructed with luxurious fabrics in angelic tones with bright injections of colour - coral pinks and pastel greens were a huge hit, also intertwining splatters of metallics. Layering of such fabrics gave a floaty feel that not only gave the models grace, but the incentive to move with style.

A young, innocent vibe was positively received by us at Tantrum, soft ruffles and constructed pleats accompanied inserts of lace, creating that timeless, whimsical feeling that all desire. It wasn't all light and airy, stiff collars and exaggerated puff sleeves were all the rage - a well-defined twist. Humbug inspired stripes were also present ( yes, ladies were talking sweets here!), as were buttoned-up shirt dresses and shift dresses belted at the waist.

We all have a weakness for ladylike dressing, pretty colours and frills, in which Paul Costelloe evidently needs applauding. As a whole, the collection kept to the trademark
Costelloe aesthetic - 'faithful to effortless luxury whilst incorporating a modern edge'.

Polish up with Eyeko.

Word on the street is there's a hip new cosmetics brand around town. Going by the name of Eyeko, this London-based online beauty boutique boasts some of the most badass shades of nail polish we've seen in quite a while, but of course, we have to give 'em a trial run before we add them to our messy little make-up kit.

We tried out their baby blue Pastel Polish which had just a teeny hint of mermaid-like shimmeryness. It glided on the nails with minimal fuss (none of those horrible gloopy bits that you tend to get with some polishes) and only needed two coats to get to the same sky blue shade as you see on the bottle.

It was far more hard-wearing than we thought it'd be, enduring a couple of crazy nights out before it started to show signs of chipping, which was pretty impressive.
The bottle may be small but you definately get your moneys worth, with 20 colours in their current collection and new ones being added every month, you're sure to find a shade to match every mood and, more importantly, every pair of shoes in your closet!

Hair that's good enough to eat. Well, almost...

Think pastel colours are reserved for cupcakes and Peppa pig? Wrong!

Why not rock the pastel hair trend this summer? Do it like Gaga with her lilac streaks a-la LoveGame video?

Or if you’re being brave, you could really go to town, just like super-cute Audrey Kitching by dying your tresses in gorgeous muted colours.

And it looks like this style isn’t exclusively for the girls either. Jared Leto, actor, musician and quite possibly the hottest man on the planet, is doing it for the boys. Not one to shy away from being the centre of attention, his electric mohawk proves that pink truly is the only real rock n roll colour.

LaRich does an amazing range of pastel colours, available at www.vixensandangels.com and dyes by Manic Panic are the long-time favourites here at Tantrum HQ.

And If you’re not feeling quite as bold, paint your paws with Barry M’s range of pastel nail paints. Cheap, chip free and fantasmically on trend.
