Nails, nails, nails! We don't know about you, but we struggle with ours, we bite, pick and do all the wrong things to look after them - we're terrible! Here at Tantrum HQ we have compiled together a few nail wrap designs that will keep your hands looking fresh and even better, bang on trend! We like to be good to you, we don't want your nails to be write offs like some of ours, do we?!

Whether you want to go fun with cartoons, girly and kitsch with Meadham Kirchhoff or funky with tattoo-style prints, there's a wrap for you, so get wrapping your summer manicure!

all nail rock designs available through nail rock online or high street retailers .

Katy Perry for Eyelure

Us girls' here at Tantrum HQ may consider ourselves to be hard as nails, "independent women", you could say, but we're still partial to looking good. Even the darkest-coloured outfit needs a little spice to it, wouldn't you agree? We're not talking about going too OTT with the beauty side of things, but a little flutter of some ultra-thick curly eyelashes can't do much harm. This is where Katy Perry comes in, the queen of kitsch has collaborated with our favourite eyelash brand, Eylure, and the results are something to get excited about. Even Katy is snapping into the independent woman phenomenon, ditching her shaggy-haired fella; yes you, Mr Brand.

4 designs that are suitable for an array of different occasions, whether you're after sweet and subtle lashes or are looking for something a bit more more va-va-voom. The packaging itself is also pretty fab; representing Katy's flirty 'n' fun persona. There really is something for everyone and we can't wait for them to be launched next month!

Eylure have famously worked with other artists including Girls Aloud and Cheryl Cole but if we let you into a little secret, we can already tell these will be the best. 'We were keen to create a range of lashes that were a direct extension of her own personal style’- and that they are!

Head over to eyelure.com for more info and even more gorgeous lash goodness!

MAC strikes again.

MAC are never ones to shy away from a good limited edition collaboration and this season is no exception. Gareth Pugh, Daphne Guinness and Iris Apfel have all been lined up to follow the likes of Hello Kitty, Liberty of London and Wonder Woman, to design their own unique colour palettes for the cosmetics brand.

Like all of these other collaborations, the new colour schemes of the products directly reflect that of their muse, meaning the Gareth Pugh and Daphne Guinness collections are dark, daring and totally dramatic. The selection of nail varnishes, lipsticks, eye pencils and blushers are the ultimate in gothic chic, think deep berry hues, liquid metallics and chalky pastels which combine to create the ultimate beauty statement.
Although the prices of the Pugh collection (which we have previously featured here) are slightly higher than that of MAC’s mainline, the lust-worthy products come packaged in super sleek, monochrome casings, the perfect little piece of Pugh for those of us who dream of owning one of his eclectic designs.

If gothic guise isn’t your bag then look no further than Mac’s third artistic partnership, this time with fashion industry veteran, Iris Apfel. Renowned for her love of all that is bold and bright, her collection comes in a vivid assortment of shades, colours which are not exactly for the shy, retiring wallflower type. Fiery lips can be mixed and matched with stunning matte eyeshadows to create a look that is as fashion forward as its wearer.

It really comes as no surprise that the collections are shifting fast, MAC’s limited edition lines sell out notoriously quickly and with collaborations as cool as these how could they not?

Gareth Pugh x M.A.C

British designer Gareth Pugh embodies everything we love over at Tantrum. His dark, twisted, monochromatic designs, geometric shapes and futuristic fantasies have our hearts all of a flutter. Needless to say, his brand new collaboration with MAC cosmetics is nothing short of fantastic and titled, 'as stylistically daring as his reputation.'

Just like his choice of materials in fashion, the designer has chosen multi-faceted textures that glint and gleam, giving a two tone effect. He's also created pieces such as a pearl infused lipglass that you can layer over his lipsticks for extra, depth, drama and effect. However, possibly the best piece of the whole MAC collection, is Gareth Pugh’s take on false eyelashes. Geometrically sharp and dark, these eyelashes would never allow you to blend into the crowd. For anyone interested in the videos the designer creates for his collections, with director Ruth Hogben, you’ll be ecstatic to find out they’ve created one for the MAC collaboration. View it here, you’ll definitely be swooning!

FANCY SOME 'FRESHSKIN'?

We all know, no matter what age you are, good skin is always in style. Us girls are always on the lookout for that trusted skincare range that will nurture our skin, help prevent premature ageing (eek!) and brighten up all those tired, dull and lifeless days. Not to mention the effects of those late nights!

Elemis, the leading British skincare brand, have taken the hassle out of skincare with their gorgeous new 'freshskin' range designed specifically for young skin. From the extensive research that's gone into developing this range to the show-stopping bright fuchsia packaging, we think 'freshskin' is an absolute winner. Elemis have been helping keep adult faces looking fresh for years now, so we're really psyched that they think young skin deserves special treatment too.

We have teamed up with Elemis to offer one lucky reader an amazing prize of all of their wonderful ‘freshskin’ products. To be in with a chance of winning, simply follow Tantrum on twitter and tweet the following message "I want to keep my skin looking sweet and fresh with @elemisfreshskin & @tantrummagazine !".

For an extra shot, become a Tantrum fan on Facebook and leave us the same message.

Enter as many times as you like, the winner will be drawn at random. Good luck!

Keep it clean.

With the summer season approaching us fast, we've been slowly building up our festival survival kit and everyone knows that means a steady supply of baby wipes, booze and... dry shampoo.

Now, we've always been a bit wary of dry shampoo. The whole concept of being able to make your hair clean without washing it is a bit mind-boggling but we thought it was about time we gave it a bash with Batiste.

We headed straight for the tropical-scented can, spritzed it on, massaged it in, brushed it out and voila. There it was. Clean, grease-free and textured, volumous locks with a gorgeous coconutty smell, just as easy as that. Yeah that's right, Batiste does exactly what it says on the can and leaves you with refreshed, healthy-looking hair minus the hassle of washing.

With numerous different varieties and scents, they have the perfect dry shampoo for every taste and a price-tag that doesn't pull the purse-strings. We're seriously considering investing in a life-supply of Batiste and erm, never actually washing our hair again!
Don't judge us, give it a shot yourself and you'll see exactly what we mean!

prices range from £1.52 - £3.56, available from Boots, Superdrug and other good retailers.

Polish up with Eyeko.

Word on the street is there's a hip new cosmetics brand around town. Going by the name of Eyeko, this London-based online beauty boutique boasts some of the most badass shades of nail polish we've seen in quite a while, but of course, we have to give 'em a trial run before we add them to our messy little make-up kit.

We tried out their baby blue Pastel Polish which had just a teeny hint of mermaid-like shimmeryness. It glided on the nails with minimal fuss (none of those horrible gloopy bits that you tend to get with some polishes) and only needed two coats to get to the same sky blue shade as you see on the bottle.

It was far more hard-wearing than we thought it'd be, enduring a couple of crazy nights out before it started to show signs of chipping, which was pretty impressive.
The bottle may be small but you definately get your moneys worth, with 20 colours in their current collection and new ones being added every month, you're sure to find a shade to match every mood and, more importantly, every pair of shoes in your closet!

Eyeko nail polish in Pastel - £3.50

Another hard hitter from Urban Decay

Waving goodbye to summer and embracing the cold winter weather is never really easy, and with it comes a whole host of problems for the skin.

Let's break it down; the air is freezing and skin gets dry and flakey, mostly on the face. Yuck. As always, Urban Decay have once again come to the rescue (and at Tantrum, we couldn't be more relieved!)

Urban Decay's Urban Defence Tinted Moisturiser is our favorite, for so many reasons. Not only does it provide the nurturing goodness for our skin, but it has a built in SPF 20 for those sunnier days, and gives the skin an even, healthy glow, cancelling out the need to fumble with foundation in the morning.

In a range of natural colours, you can wave goodbye to cracked skin and say hello to the dewy skinned, girl next door look all year round.

Plump Up The Party

Plump Up The Party

Get sexy plumped up lips without the plastic surgery.
Let’s face it, who doesn’t want that perfect pout that oozes glamour yet still feels natural? Well at Tantrum we’ve tried and tested some of the hottest lip plumpers around so you don’t have to and boy did we find some amazing cheaper and safer alternatives to the not-so-fantastic plastic. These babies will ensure you’ve got the most lush and kissable lips on the block this summer.

First up is Too Faced Lip Injection. Don’t let the name fool you, ladies; applied as a clear gloss, within seconds your lips will feel and look fuller with an added natural shine.

Next is Urban Decay’s Big Fatty Lip Plumper. With a beautiful gold sheen (and a fun and funky name) this plumper is thin enough to go over your favourite lipstick, making the plumping effective against your favourite kissable colour.

My personal fave is Soap And Glory’s Sexy Mother Pucker range. In a range of natural colours this bad lad packs a punch with a zingy tingling feeling leaving lips feeling fab and it carries a sweet, chocolaty taste.

So get that craved, classic look this summer without the price tag and the pain.

Sexy Mother Pucker at boots - £8.00
Big Fatty Lip Plumper, Urban Decay – £11.50
Too Faced Lip Injection - £11.50
