MAC strikes again.

MAC are never ones to shy away from a good limited edition collaboration and this season is no exception. Gareth Pugh, Daphne Guinness and Iris Apfel have all been lined up to follow the likes of Hello Kitty, Liberty of London and Wonder Woman, to design their own unique colour palettes for the cosmetics brand.

Like all of these other collaborations, the new colour schemes of the products directly reflect that of their muse, meaning the Gareth Pugh and Daphne Guinness collections are dark, daring and totally dramatic. The selection of nail varnishes, lipsticks, eye pencils and blushers are the ultimate in gothic chic, think deep berry hues, liquid metallics and chalky pastels which combine to create the ultimate beauty statement.
Although the prices of the Pugh collection (which we have previously featured here) are slightly higher than that of MAC’s mainline, the lust-worthy products come packaged in super sleek, monochrome casings, the perfect little piece of Pugh for those of us who dream of owning one of his eclectic designs.

If gothic guise isn’t your bag then look no further than Mac’s third artistic partnership, this time with fashion industry veteran, Iris Apfel. Renowned for her love of all that is bold and bright, her collection comes in a vivid assortment of shades, colours which are not exactly for the shy, retiring wallflower type. Fiery lips can be mixed and matched with stunning matte eyeshadows to create a look that is as fashion forward as its wearer.

It really comes as no surprise that the collections are shifting fast, MAC’s limited edition lines sell out notoriously quickly and with collaborations as cool as these how could they not?
